Always on the look out for wow factors I was recently sent these gorgeous images by Anna Miel, one of our highly recommended photographers, of an open day she had recently had the pleasure of documenting.

Swooning at the decor, always love pink! and the amazing skills of many wedding suppliers here in Andalucia I had to share the Cortijo La Yedra Open Day with you. This is a definite must save blog post for any couple planning their wedding here in Southern Spain and looking for some cool ideas and wedding suppliers.
Cortijo La Yedra in Antequera recently opened its doors for this beautifully styled open day, offering industry professionals a glimpse into their venue and bought together many fabulous ideas, food, decor and entertainment.
Antequera is about 1.5 hours drive inland from Marbella so whilst not on the coast I wanted to share plenty of wedding inspiration with you.

Through a series of styled spaces and thoughtful details, the event showcased not just the venue itself but many gorgeous elements so you are in for a treat!
The Courtyard at Cortijo La Yedra

At the heart of the venue is its courtyard, a space that immediately captures attention.
Framed by whitewashed arches and a prominent fountain it is a perfect setting where guests can be welcomed into the venue.
The open day offered a snapshot of what a wedding at Cortijo La Yedra could feel like.
From beautifully presented canapés to cocktails served beneath the trees, the experience moved beyond a static showcase. Instead, it reflected a real celebration showcasing a couple, relaxed, social, and effortlessly flowing from one moment to the next with plenty of networking & photo opportunities.
A Wedding Venue Designed for Flexibility
One of the standout features of Cortijo La Yedra is its versatility.
With multiple spaces across the estate, couples have the freedom to shape their wedding in a way that feels entirely personal. Whether moving from courtyard drinks to dinner under the stars, or creating more intimate moments within the grounds, the venue adapts to the flow of the day rather than dictating it. Cortijo La Yedra does not restrict suppliers helping you to carefully create your day.
An Andalucian Style Wedding Venue

The styling presented throughout the open day leaned towards a modern, understated elegance allowing the natural beauty of the venue to take centre stage and we love those bougainvillea trees by Pedro Navarro against the white of the buildings.
From sculptural cakes to layered floral arrangements and gorgeous tablescapes, the details on display highlighted just how talented Andalucia’s wedding suppliers can be and we are here to showcase them and sing their praises.
Open days like this offer something incredibly valuable for couples and planners in the planning process.
They provide the opportunity to visualise how a venue can truly be used how spaces connect, how guests move, and how the overall atmosphere might feel on the day itself. It’s often these insights that make all the difference when choosing the right venue.
Looking Beyond Marbella for Weddings & Events
While Marbella continues to be a very sought after destination for weddings, venues inland like Cortijo La Yedra offer an alternative perspective. Set within the Andalusian countryside, it has a sense of space, authenticity, and a slower pace while still being within easy reach of the Costa del Sol.
For couples open to exploring beyond the coast, it’s a venue well worth discovering with many bonuses including no noise restrictions due to its location.
The Creative Wedding Team Behind the Open Day
This open day brought together an incredible collective of wedding professionals, showcasing the level of creativity and collaboration possible for your wedding or event.
Thank you to Anna Miel for capturing the open day so beautifully and sharing these images with us.
